Helsinki Geoeconomics Week 2025 (HGW25), August 11th to 15th, is a premier gathering of global policymakers, strategists, and academics to address geoeconomic challenges under the Chatham House Rule.

This year's event, themed “Trump Six Months On: Geoeconomics in a Fractured Global Order,” examines how shifting geopolitics and corporate strategies interact in today’s complex landscape.

Helsinki Geoeconomics Week

The 2024 edition


The event, themed “Geoeconomists at the Gates: The Emergence of a New Profession,” took place in Helsinki between August 12th and 16th, 2024, focusing on integrating economic statecraft into business and government strategies.

Keynote speakers included Denis Redonnet (European Commission), Risto Siilasmaa (WithSecure, F-Secure, First Fellow), Ted Bunzel (Lazard), Elisabeth Braw (Atlantic Council), Anthony B. Kim (The Heritage Foundation), and Dale Copeland (University of Virginia).
